1912 Restaurant & Bar in Munich

My parents, boyfriend and I visited Germany from 3 different countries and stayed at Hotel Dolomit, the sister hotel of Hotel Cristal where this restaurant is. We saw the door tags at our rooms promoting the "think green, act green program. By opting out on room cleaning the preserve the environment, we will receive a voucher of 5 euros that specifically stated they can be used in this restaurant. We stayed 4 nights and got 4 vouchers in total from 2 rooms. We confirmed with the hotel receptionist yesterday that these vouchers can be used for breakfast at 1912 Restaurant in Hotel Cristal. Went over this morning expecting a good buffet breakfast with a discount from vouchers to celebrate my Dad's birthday, only to be repeatedly told by the restaurant receptionist that we don't have room numbers there and cannot eat breakfast there unless we pay full price. And we can only use those vouchers at the self-service counters with only bottled drinks, sandwiches and snacks available. After explaining repeatedly to no prevail, we could only exchange those vouchers for bottled water and 2 cold sandwiches. Seriously, why stated on those vouchers that they can be used at your restaurant from the same owner of Hotel Cristal and Dolomit if that is NOT the case?!? The feeling I'm getting from the restaurant person is that we are no good to eat there. Very upset and disappointed at such service and attitude. It's not like I cannot afford your 16 euros breakfast, but don't lie about something being offered to us and not honoring it! Morning was ruined. Will never return.

Restaurant ok. The bar is the highlight. Mr. Carlos is entertaining all guests at the same time. Good service, good music, nice drinks. Keep goin on!

Very disappointed! Price-chastity ratio very bad .. Service was mediocre, the food unfortunately not good. The vegetables were frozen goods, with no pasta sauce and the taste was just boring! Not to be recommended, the prices are far too high for NOT FRESH ingredients!

Hey guys don't come here!! We were having a business dinner here and had an awful experience!! They ran out of ice, the service wasn't that competent and helpful AND BY FAR THE WORST, WE ORDERED THE ARGENTINA STEAK (MOST EXPENSIVE MENU) AND GUESS WHAT, IT SMELLED SO BAD THAT WE HAD TO GIVE IT BACK AND NOW THEY DON'T GET IT! Really bad service, bad food and no idea what customer service means!!! I can only warn you guys'n'girls! Regards Matt!

Great business lunch options, high "variance" in service! :)

First of all it is a hotel restaurant, really close to the central station in Munich. + They had a really good red wine Classic Cuvée from Aumann. + The place was pretty empty on a Thursday-night, the service was really German which really made the difference between 4 and 5 stars for me. - The food was good + and for what you get reasonably priced... + I would go go there again, considering the alternatives
